To configure Microsoft Outlook Express for your account:
- Click on Tools, then on Accounts
- Click on Add, then on Mail
- Display name: Type in your name as you want it to appear to people you send mail to.
- Click Next>
- E-mail address: Type in your entire wsbc-stephenville address.
- Click Next>
- Select POP3 from the dropdown list, then type mail.wsbc-stephenville.org into both boxes.
- Click Next>
- Account name: Type in your entire wsbc-stephenville address
- Password: Type in your password (it will appear as a series of dots).
- Select Remember password if you don’t want to have to type in your password each time you check your mail
- Click Next>
- Click Finish
- Click Close
- Click Send/Recv
- If Outlook Express can’t check your mail after all this, click on Tools, then on Accounts.
- Click on the Mail tab, then click on your wsbc-stephenville account
- Click Properties
- On the General tab, type mail.wsbc-stephenville.org into the top box, your name into the Name box, and your full wsbc-stephenville address into the E-mail address box. Select Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing
- On the Servers tab, type in POP3 into the top box, mail.wsbc-stephenville.org into the next two boxes, your full wsbc-stephenville address into the next box, and your password into the next one. Select Remember password if you don’t want to have to enter your password each time you check your email. Unselect everything else.
- On the Connection tab, unselect everything.
- On the Security tab, select 3DES in the dropdown menu for the Algorithm box. Everything else should be blank.
- On the Advanced tab, unselect the two This server requires a secure connection (SSL) lines. Type 25 into the top box and 110 into the next one. Set the Server Timeouts to 1 minute. Select any options below this that you want, then click OK.
- Click Send/Recv
- If Outlook Express still can’t check your email after all of this, contact Bro. Jeff either at church or by email.
