To configure Microsoft Outlook for your account:
- Open Outlook
- Click on Tools, then on E-mail Accounts
- Select Add a new e-mail account
- Click Next>
- Select POP3
- Click Next>
- Your Name: Type in your name as you want it to appear to people you send mail to
- E-Mail Address: Type in your wsbc-stephenville address
- Incoming mail server (POP3): Type in mail.wsbc-stephenville.org
- Outgoing mail server (SMPT): Type in mail.wsbc-stephenville.org
- User Name: Type in your entire wsbc-stephenville address
- Password: Type in your password (it will appear as a series of asterisks).
- Select Remember password if you don’t want to have to type in your password each time you check your mail
- Click Test Account Settings (make sure you are connected to the internet first)
- A window will come up showing what is being tested. When the tests are done, there should be a message at the top of the window that says, “Congratulations! All tests completed successfully. Click Close to continue.” Click the Close button.
- If the above message didn’t come up, click the Close button anyway, then click on the More Settings button.
- On the General tab, type in your wsbc-stephenville address in the top and bottom boxes. Nothing has to be in the middle box.
- On the Outgoing Server tab, select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server. Unselect everything else.
- On the Connection tab, select whichever type of connection you use.
- On the Advanced tab, unselect everything. In the two boxes, put 110 in the top and 25 in the bottom, then set the Server Timeouts to 1 minute.
- Click OK.
- Click Test Account Settings (make sure you are connected to the internet first).
- If it doesn’t pass all the tests, contact Bro. Jeff either at church or by email.
- Click Next>
- Click Finish
